What size hat should I order?

Not sure about the size hat you will fit you best? Rather than guessing make sure you order the right size to avoid disappointment.   

1. Get a soft measuring tape.

2. Place the measuring tape about 2 – 3 cm above your ear (or where you would feel comfortable for your hat to sit).

3. Take the measuring tape around your head, by pulling the tape firm but not tight. This will give you the circumference of your head and enable you to determine your hat size with the help of our sizing chart.

* Remember to take the measuring tape straight across your head, otherwise you will get an incorrect measurement.

** If you are between sizes, rather size up and order some additional hat sizing tape. You can work with a bigger hat but a too small hat will only give you a headache.

The perfomance and longevity of your hat depends on a few simple steps.

HANDLING YOUR HAT

To put on or remove your felt hat, lightly hold the front of the hat, the sturdiest part where the crown meets the brim. Handling by the brim or top of the crown may warp and twist the brim over time and pinch the crown, giving it an uneven look. If this happens you can reshape the hat by steaming it. When placing the hat on a flat service, place it brim up and crown down.

HEAT EXPOSURE

Avoid exposing your hat to the heat from stoves, radiators, lamps, car windows and enclosed cars in the summer. The combination of the heat and perspiration can shrink

the sweatband.

STORAGE

Store your straw hat upside down on its crown, on a clean surface or in a box. This helps protect the shape of the brim.

CLEANING

Felt hats should be brushed regularly with a brim brush or sponge to remove dust and dirt. If there are set stains that cannot be brushed off a hat cleaning product can be used. Spray your hat with the cleaning product (according to the instructions on the bottle) and leave to dry the hat at room temperature. When the hat is dry take your brush or sponge and brush the hat again.
